Today in class is the day Jevan and I taught the class and let me tell you it was one darn well taught class. We had to get three laws from Hammurabi's code.
1. If a slave says to his master: "You are not my master," if they convict him his master shall cut off his ear.
I think with this one that it would make more sense to cut the slaves tongue out so he could not speak.

2. If a son strike his father, his hands shall be hewn off.
This is one makes sense so ya I guess for this time it would be fine.

3. If any one is committing a robbery and is caught, then he shall be put to death.
This one i agree with for that time of the earth.

Today in class we officially started chapter one. We got new books but technically they are not new they are old but they are new to us. We took notes on early and pre historic times. I learned the Sumer was the first ever tribe or people to ever use a form of writing. That 200,000 years ago to 14,000 years ago between that time gap there was no collection of any type of history. Back then everyone was a hunter and gather. And if you were a hunter you had a higher social class then if you were a gather or a sandal maker.
